Deer Dad Birthday Card

This is a cute birthday card I made my husband for his birthday. This is a 5.5" by 8.5" card. I used 4 different cricut cartridges. I also got the inspiration for this card from the fisherman's card on Cardz TV.

The first cartridge I used was the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. I cut the body out at 4" on blackout. Then I used the clothes from the fisherman on page 71. I cut the hat, hair, shirt, vest and waders all at 4". I inked around all the detail pieces with brown cat's eye chalk ink and inked the detail cuts on the hat and vest. I also used a stamp from Peachy Keen's Basic Paper Doll Face set.

I cut the deer from the Animal Kingdom cartridge. I cut it at 3" and inked around him with brown cat's eye ink. I also used a black pen and drew over the contour lines of the deer.

I used Plantin Schoolbook for the grass. It is on page 69. I cut it at 8.5" with the fit to length button on the expression. I inked the tips of the grass and the bottom edge with the brown ink also.

I used the Stand and Salute cartridge for the gun. I used the cross rifles found on page 49 and cut it at 1.5 inches. I then cut one of the rifles off so it was a single gun.

The sentiment I typed and printed off the computer.

I pop dotted the hunter, deer and sentiment.

Cheers Card

For this New Years card I used the Wild Card and Plantin Schoolbook cartridges.

Using the Wild Card cartridge I cut the base of the card on blackout on white card stock at 5 3/4.

Then I cut a regular base on white card stock at 5 3/4 " also. I then cut the label and white part on the top of the bottle from that base.

Then I took a piece of green paper and put it on the mat where the bottle was cut and cut the blackout base again just to get the bottle. I did the same for the cork with kraft card stock.

I then cut the Cheers (found on the same page as the bottle card) out on metallic silver paper at 5 3/4".

With the Platin School book cartridge I cut 6 stars out of metallic silver card stock at 3/4". I then attached them to three ornament hooks I had. Before I attached the top label on the bottle I used a glue dot to secure the stars.

I then cut a 3 3/4 x 5 3/4 piece of card stock for the background of the card.

Cup cake birthday card

For this yummy cupcake card I used the cupcake on the From My Kitchen cartridge and the scallop and circle are from the Mini Monogram cartridge.

I cut the stripe pattern paper for the cup cake base on blackout at 2". I also cut green cardstock at 2" on blackout and just cut off the leaf and stem part. Then I used light pink, dark pink, and red cardstock and cut on the layers function at 2 ". After putting all the layers together I used red stickles on the cherry, green stickles on the leaf and stem and pink stickles on the frosting.

I cut the scallop with purple textured cardstock at 3". I cut the circle from white cardstock at 2.5". I then inked both with purple ink. Then I attached the cupcake cake to the circle and the circle to the scallop.

I cut a 4.5" square from lavender cardstock and inked the edges with purple ink.

I used the same pattern paper from the cupcake base and cut a strip 1.5" x 4.5". I then attached a purple ribbon that I got from targets dollar bin to the strip of paper and attach that to the lavender cardstock.

I attached the scallop and then the whole piece to a white 5"x 5" card base.

The "Let the Good Times Roll" stamp is from Michael's dollar bin.

Jelly Jar-simple

Ok time has finally caught up to me and I'm way behind on gifts. Last night I made 13 jars of cranberry jelly for teacher gifts this year. (Making jelly is not as hard as some people think). Well since these need to be done tomorrow and I have housework to catch up on and a Christmas Party tonight I'm just keeping them simple.

I cut a 2.5 inch circle out of Christmas pattern paper using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and put the circle under the jar lid.

Then I cut a tag using the tag feature on Joys of the Season cartridge. I used the star on page 53. I cut the tag at 2.25 inches using a burgundy cardstock. I also cut 2 base tags using a cream color cardstock.

The first base I rubbed on some boss gloss embossing ink from Stamp-n-Stuff on the first base tag then sprinkled on some jeweled gold embossing powder from Stamp-n-Stuff.

Then I layered the burgundy tag on the embossed tag and layered that on the 2nd foundation tag to hide the ink that leaks through the back. I don't have time to mess with it :)

I put an eyelet through the tag and just tied it on the jar using some ribbon that I found in my Christmas boxes. So 1 down 12 more to go :)

Quick Christmas Card

This was a quick Christmas Card. I used Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge.

I cut the card at 4.75 inches using green cardstock from recollections. (Michael's brand)

I then cut the frame at 4.75 using red cardstock from recollections.

I put red and white stripe paper behind the candy canes.

I used stickles for the garland on the tree and little rhinestones for the ornaments. I had a mini star punch and punched a star from yellow cardstock.

The Merry Christmas stamp is from inkadinkado.

Snowman card

Here is a card I made entirely from my scrapbox. (With the exception of the card base.) I used Doodlecharm to make this card.

I cut the snow globe on blackout for both pieces at 4"

I cut the snow man at 2". Base on black out. Layer on regular cut. I did not want to cut the whole snow man out in orange to get the tiny nose so I just colored it with a color pencil.

I cut the snowflakes at 1" and used my frosted lace stickles to give them some bling.

I inked with my cat's eye chalk ink.

Colored the face and buttons with a black pen.

Ribbon is from Walmart.

Stamp is from Michael's dollar bin.

Background paper is heidi grace designs: Frosted Blvd.

Fireplace card

This card I had a lot of fun making. I actually made 12 of them. I used 3 different cricut cartridges. This card was inspired by Bug Junkie's Twas the Night before Christmas Shape book. (If you ever wanted to try a shape book she has great videos on how to do it.)

From the Joys of the Season I used the following:

The fireplace which is cut at 2 1/4 inches.

The Christmas tree which is cut at 3 inches.

The presents which are cut at 3/4 inches.

From the Doodlecharm cartridge I used:

The stockings which are cut at 3/4 inches

From the Stand and Salute cartridge i used:

The frame which is cut at 1 3/4 inches.

I also printed from the computer the Merry Christmas and cut them in rectangles to fit the frame. (If I had a stamp small enough I would of used that.)

I inked around the edges of the fireplace, tree, presents, stockings and frame with cat eye's chalk ink. I used burgundy chalk to give dimension to the flame and the bows on the presents. Then I used stickles to make the garland on the tree and rhinestones from Michael's dollar bin for the ornaments.

Lastly I used foam tape to raise the fireplace so the fire sits inside and I pop dotted the presents.

I have enter this card at Practical Scrappers: Anything Christmas Challenge and Just Buggin' challenge #15 , 365 Cards: Day 294.

Holly card with bonus card

This is one of the first cards I made using the card function on the Stretch your imagination cartridge. I was inspired by this post on Christmas with the Cricut. Those ladies have so much talent. I made my card 4 3/4 inches.

Materials I use:

Cardstock from Hobby Lobby

Swiss dots embossing folder (for the holly leaves which is cut at 1.5 inches)

Red Ribbon from Walmart

Merry Christmas stamp from Michael's dollar bin

Red Rhine stones from Michael's dollar bin

Bonus Card

When you make the holly card above you get this frame from the scraps of the frame for the holly card. So this frame inspired me to make another card.

I took the frame and ran it through my cuttle bug with the d'vine swirl folder. Then I cut ginger bread man at 2 1/2 inches. I used a red rhinestone for his nose and 2 white rhinestones for his buttons. The Merry Christmas stamp is from the Michael's dollar bin.
